Valuation Model
Top-Down Model
Company targetValuation
→ Workstream Weights (sum to 1.0)
→ Goals (KPIs)
→ Milestones
→ Tasks
- Goals ARE KPIs. Quantifiable, measurable, with a target metric, current value, deadline, and owner. If you can't measure it, it's not a goal.
- Milestones = binary checkpoints.
- Tasks = atomic units (one person, one task), each self-contained with description + acceptance criteria.

Two-Track Valuation (permanent)
Always two tracks, never conflated:
- Valuation Impact — enterprise value (dollars).
- Social Valuation Impact — societal value.
Rules:
- NEVER use bare "Impact" as a monetary label.
- NEVER conflate the two tracks.
- NEVER say "realized valuation" — always "current valuation."
- performanceScore = dollar value of GOALS completed.
- executionScore = dollar value of MILESTONES completed.
Workstream Weights
Data-driven by stage and domain using PitchBook comparables. NOT static. Recalculated weekly.
Portfolio Framework — RECM
Barbell system: near-term cash flow ↔ category-defining upside.
RECM = Time-to-Cash × Required External Capital × Expected Valuation Ceiling × Execution Risk.
Archetypes: Cash Engine | Efficient Scaler | Frontier Bet.
